Business SaaS Alignment Workshop
Description
One Company. One Product. One Language. One Direction.
Format: Interactive In-Person Workshop | 4 Hours | Leadership Required
Your SaaS product works. Your team doesn't, at least not as one unit.
Marketing optimizes for leads. Sales closes deals that don't retain. Product builds features nobody asked for. Finance questions every CAC. CS firefights churn nobody saw coming. Everyone is doing their job. Nobody is building the same company.
It is a mental model problem.
Most corporate teams, including smart, experienced ones, operate with fundamentally different interpretations of what a SaaS business actually is. Not the product. The business. The subscription promise. The retention reality. The reason churn kills faster than missed sales. When these interpretations diverge silently across departments, execution gaps open, and they compound quietly until they surface as revenue problems.
The SaaS Alignment Workshop closes that gap.
In 4 focused hours, your leadership team and department heads will build a single, shared operating model of your SaaS business, tailored to your product, your market, and your specific execution challenges.
What Happens in the Room
The session is structured in four working blocks:
- Block 1 — The SaaS Operating Model (60 min) What your SaaS business actually is — not as a product, but as an economic machine. The subscription promise. The churn math. Why retention is the primary metric, and what that means for every department's decisions. Every participant leaves this block with the same foundational model in their head.
- Block 2 — Your Business, Your Map (60 min) How does your specific product create value, generate revenue, and produce long-term retention? We map the customer journey from acquisition through activation through renewal — and every department identifies where they touch that journey and what they are currently optimizing for (versus what they should be optimizing for).
- Block 3 — Department Reality Check (75 min) Each department works through three questions: What does SaaS mean for how I operate? What metric should I own? Where am I currently creating friction for another team? This is where the misalignments surface — in a structured, non-defensive environment. Leadership is required here because alignment cannot be delegated.
- Block 4 — The Shared Vocabulary & Alignment Summary (45 min) Every team leaves with one document: their department's SaaS Operating Principles — what changes, what they measure, and how they connect to the company's core retention and revenue goal. The session closes with a unified alignment summary that leadership signs off on before anyone leaves the room.
What This Is Not
This is not a training program. We are not teaching tools, platforms, or methodologies. This is not a keynote or a lecture series. It is a working session. Participants will think, debate, and produce outputs — not take notes. It is not for the whole company. The session requires department heads and at least one C-level sponsor. If leadership is not in the room, the output does not hold.
Who It's For
SaaS companies in MENA with functioning teams — typically 15 to 200 employees — where leadership suspects (or has confirmed) that departments are pulling in slightly different directions. Particularly high-value before a growth push, a funding round, or after a period of unexpected churn or missed targets.
The Output
Every department leaves with a Department SaaS Operating Principles document — a one-page reference specific to their function that defines how SaaS changes the way they work, what they measure, and what they owe the customer every billing cycle.
The company leaves with one shared language.
Leadership presence is non-negotiable. Alignment cannot be delegated.
